Omea Reader and the Microsoft AntiSpyware beta.
Of late I've noticed something really annoying on my computer at home. Generally, things work fine, but whenever I try to open IE from within Omea Reader (which I use for my RSS content) it can take a very long time for the IE window to start responding - and while it does, Omea is locked up too.
I've had a couple of thoughts so far about it.
- I need to defrag my drive. (I do, but i'm not sure if this will effect anything. IE opens fast everywhere else).
- I've been running Omea Reader since it was pre-beta, and soemtimes when it's database corrupts, stringe things happen. I've currently running bersion 1.0.3 RC1, so it's not necessarily stable anyway.
- When I wrote item #2, it got me thinking - the latest version is 1.0.3 RC5, so I updated, and it's still not fixed :)
- Maybe it's....ah ha!
I disabled real-time scanning on my install of Microsoft AntiSpyware. What happened? It's a lot more responsive now.
Who do i complain report a bug to? Is this Omea, MS, or both? I haven't noticed this problem anywhere else....
