Code Camp MIA

Well, here I am at Code Camp Oz! We've had three or four talks so far, and things are looking fine. At some stage soon I'm going to figure out how to record audio on this laptop Andrew Coates has lent me so I can do some interviews.

I have one question so far. Where is MattyT??? I went to his talk on C++/CLI (which I was interested in on an intellectual level, I'll never actually use it tho) and he never showed up. Matty, where are you?

Anyway, we'll see how it goes. Wish me luck on my recording techniques!

I unfortunately had conflicting appointments that I couldn't get out of. Saturday was one of my best friends engagement party (I'm one of the _five_ best men in the bridal party!) and Sunday was my girlfriends' cousins wedding. Despite having only met the bride once before my attendance was compulsory (apparently).

I considered driving up just for the Monday sessions but an impromptu family-friend birthday picnic robbed me even of that...though the daunting task of driving for 11-odd hours in a day wasn't all that appealing!

Believe me I would have loved to have been there.

Now I'm just counting on all you guys who attended to blog about it! Come on fellas, there's been some vague dialogue but I want details dammit! :)

What did they cover in that C++/CLI talk? Are there any slides available yet?

Did any of the presenters convince you to give up on that abomination of a language you insist on programming with? ;D
