Code Camp 2: I still know what you did last Code Camp
We're approaching the end of Day One of Code Camp now. It's been a pretty good day, with an excellent set of presenters on a lot of interesting things. No offence to the bulk of the presenters, but I have to say that by far the two best presenters so far have been Joel Pobar and Dominic Cooney. It's not so much that I'm declaring 'They are the best presenters" but they certainly had the content that was of the most interest to me right now.
I've been slack so far at gathering interviews. I have good reasons for this however: the main point of doing this is to get peoples impressions of the event - well, they need to have been here long enough to have gained a decent impression (good or bad, doesn't matter). Stgraight after this current talk I'm stealing some air time with Joel to get his interview done - he's bailing out and won't be here tomorrow, so this is my only chance. He's happily agreed for it to happen tho, so it's a good start :)
Later on I'll see who else I can nab, but mostly I'm going to be working hard tomorrow. The biggest problem is that i'm so busy watching the presentations, and so is everyone else, that there's only a few opportunities to get people into a quiet place.
One nice surprise was a fan visit. Sorry Thomas, I didn't catch your last name, but Hi! It was pretty cool to have someone come up to me and say 'Hi, you don't know me, but I read your blog'. Dude, if you do a blog read tonight, find me tomorrow, I definately want to get an interview with you.
For now however, the battery in this high-quality laptop is about to die again, so I'll leave it at that. Be good everyone!
