When plans go wrong..in a good way.

I had very specific plans for what I was going to do with my night tonight once my daughter had got to sleep.

First, I was going to write myself a new skin for my blog. In the upgrade to Community Server 1.1 (thanks Brendan!), my old skin died a miserable death. Sure, it was still there, but comments went all screwy, and you couldn't add any more. I've been meaning to fix it anyway, since I stupidly wrapped all posts on the main page in one large table (*slapf*) which meant it didn't render until the whole lot had loaded...which is a long time on a slow connection.

Once that was done, I wanted to finally start work on my review of a utility library that's been sitting around at work for a few months now. It arrived with one of our recent employees - it was all his helper code. I've been meaning to review it for ages because I'm sure a lot of it simply doesn't need to be there. So I wanted to go through it and document all the bits that were useful, and all the bits that were redundant because when it was written the author didn't know that the framework already had an equivalent.

Good plans right?

Nope. I might get to them later (fingers crossed), but first it seems I have some work to do. The new baby is due in 4 weeks, and we still haven't really got all the stuff prepared that we need to. So now it's time (I've been told...<whiny voicer>yes dear</yes dear>)to start actually cleaning up the garage so that we can find the boxes of baby clothes and the old baby furniture so we can start getting the new bedroom ready. We've been in our house for 12 months now, and the garage is still full of a) unpacked boxes; b) furniture we don't want inside; and c) half unpacked boxes.

I've been putting it off for a long time. Bugger.

On a brighter note, I've already found my old Buffy comics, so I can finally put them up on Ebay!
