An Empty Office

Having only a few hours ago posted my screenshot of the busy office, I couldn't help but post this too.

I've now got home from work, and the downloads of the Vista and Office12 Beta 2s that I kicked off this morning finished successfully. So while waiting for the Winfx Beta2 bits to download (then i can reboot and install vista) I figured I'd install office.

It installed successfully, and has been interesting checking it out - but for now, check out this dialog that came up during the install.

I love betas - they can have some great messages!

 

Oh, and by the way. I figured I'd done what it had asked (and closed nothing) and hit retry. This wasn't good enough - I had to click ignore to continue successfully :)

Ha! I got exactly the same "message" 20 minutes ago during my install as well.  I found that the culprit was a rogue Outlook.exe that hadn't shutdown properly.  Killed it and the install went ahead fine.

Heh. I'd already checked - I had no obvious processes running that were office products. I wouldn't be surprised though if something else had one of the office dll's loaded however :)
