More Notes On Inductionationment
One thing I forgot to mention before.
I'm a Canberran. For those that don't know, Canberra might be the capital of Australia, but it's quite a small city. There's not many people compared to Sydney and Melbourne, and it's a very spread out place with lots of bushland.
I live in Canberra for many reasons. One of the biggest is that the winters are really cold, and the summer's might get hot, but there's almost no humidity. Another is that it's small, without being a tiny country town.
Readify's office is in Melbourne. Of all other capital cities in Australia, Melbourne is the only one I know. That's not to say I know it very well, but in some cases I'm able to find my way around - whereas in Sydney I'm immediately lost the moment I approach the outlying suburbs. In Melbourne I can fairly easily get from the northside (coming down the Hume Highway) to my parent's house in the eastern/southeastern suburbs, and I can get to most places that are relatively near my parent's house.
This morning I had to get from my parent's place to Readify's office - somewhere I've never been before, in a suburb I've never been to before.
I did pretty well this morning - I managed to catch the right train, get off at the right stop, and walk to the correct general area all on my own. And that's when the trouble started :)
I spent about 45 minutes walking around Docklands trying to find the right place. In the end, just as I was about to call, they called me (because I ended up being late) and it was smooth sailing from there. Darren hung out on the balcony and waved, so I only needed to follow the madman hanging off the roof.
I hate being late. I hate being in unfamiliar places. But now I know how to find the office, so I won't have this problem again.
Hopefully.
