Zappy Day

I don't know what's going on today. The weather must be just right or something, but every time I leave my desk, when I come back and sit down when I touch my keyboard I get a zap from static electricity.

Normally this wouldn't worry me, but what effect is it having on my laptop? Some of them have been quite large.

Normally I laugh at my wife because she gets zapped just about every time she gets out of the car when she closes the door, but now it's not as funny (ok, it is, but now it's me :) I'm thinking I need get an earthing strap to hang off the bottom of my pants like you can get for cars!

Sure it's weird when it happens to you for one day but when it happens to me for weeks on end you find it hilarious! Damn you! I get zapped bad enough to leave marks on my skin and you whinge and whine just because it might damage your laptop. What about how much damage is being done to my body! Sheesh! Shows how this family works - electrical equipment is more importnat than the people! :p
