Why C# Is Unproductive

I've figured it out. It's simple really :)

At work I've been having to work in C#. And I've been playing with some CS code, which is also in C#.

And I've noticed something.

In VB, intellisense lists pop open as you type. It also happens in C#.

On my laptop, in VB, the lists opens pretty damn quickly.

In C#, it takes longer.

And when making these lists, the environment locks up.

I rest my case.

I like how the VB intellisense doesn't act like the C# intellisense.. that's bad. The C# one comes up when you're typing stuff on a brand new line. Let's say you want to access the PageTitle property of the given page. In C#, you can start typing "Page" and intellisense kicks in, showing you all the properties/members for the page. In VB, this doesn't happen at all. Huh? You have to type Me. in order to get the pop-up.

Hey Nicholas

Ctrl-space is the key here. Type Page, then ctrl and space, and the list comes up.

In fact, just type the p :)

the two teams behind the languages definately have a different opinion on when the lists should appear and what should be in them. I just wish that the C# machines didn't lock my machine up :(
