So much for the Melbourne Geek Dinner I was going to organise, is what I meant to say.
I've been in Melbourne for 4 weeks, as part of an 8 week job I was assigned to. Plenty of time to get things sorted out, right? There was the geek dinner, getting to a user group (sorry, I mean special interest group) meeting, catching up with some people...
I've been taking my time with it all, trying to spread out the geeky goodness. And what happens? I'm going to home to Canberra tonight and not coming back! *laughs* There's work for me in Canberra, and another Readify guy is taking my place here in Melbourne.
I've known about this for about a week now, but simply ran out of time to cram in all the stuff I wanted to do. Such is life :)
MattyT, I pass the torch to you. Organise yourself a geek dinner. I'll help spread the word and make sure a heap of Readify guys go. You just need to make sure there's some non-Readifarians to keep things balanced :) Oh, and I'll hound you until you've organised it, so don't think you can hide!
